SAVANNAH, GA – March 12, 2020 – The Savannah Philharmonic, after closely monitoring the coronavirus pandemic, is postponing the Germanic Passion concert originally slated for Saturday, March 21. The concert has been rescheduled for Saturday June 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, located at 32 Abercorn Street. Tickets purchased for March 21 will be valid for the June performance. This concert will be conducted by Keitaro Harada, Savannah Philharmonic’s new Music and Artistic Director.
“We are committed to safeguarding the health and safety of everyone connected with Savannah Philharmonic – musicians, patrons, audiences and staff,” said Board Chair, Rhegan White-Clemm.
At this time, Savannah Philharmonic plans to present the remaining concerts in the 2019-20 season on April 18 and May 2. Savannah Philharmonic will continue to monitor the evolving coronavirus situation and will take further action if and when events warrant.
