Savannah Philharmonic Announces New Board Chair and Members

The Savannah Philharmonic, a community-focused arts organization which strives to present concert performances and music education of the highest caliber throughout the southeast, is pleased to announce a new board chair and three new board members.

Daphne Nash has been named Board Chair of the Savannah Philharmonic as the organization prepares for the upcoming 16th Season. After a 23 year career in New York City, Nash moved to Savannah in 2016 and began her community engagement as a volunteer. In addition to serving as board chair for the Savannah Philharmonic, she also serves on the board of the Owens-Thomas House and Slave Quarters and through advocacy for children as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.

New board members named are:

Scott Dole, a Savannah Real Estate Agent with a passion for helping clients find their perfect home or commercial property. Prior to moving to Savannah, Scott spent a decade in New York City and Dallas working in marketing for Stella McCartney and Ralph Lauren and in tech sales for Cisco, Tesla, and RedHat. Scott’s love of music came early as he grew up playing the trumpet and was selected to play in a National Youth Orchestra at Carnegie Hall.

Ben Hart, president and general manager of WJCL in Savannah. He has been with Hearst owned TV stations for more than two decades. Ben serves on the boards of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters, Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club, United Way of the Coastal Empire, American Heart Association and the American Traditions Vocal Collection.

Marti Sullivan, who moved to the Savannah area in 2012 and has been deeply involved in the community since her arrival. She is currently a Trustee for the Telfair Museums, serves on the U.S. board of the Irish Georgian Society, and has helped with the design initiatives at the Ford Field & River Club. Prior to moving to Savannah, Marti lived in Charleston where she was deeply involved with Spoleto Festival USA serving on the board and chairing numerous fundraising events.
