Savannah Philharmonic Names Jeanne GloverDirector of Development

SAVANNAH, GA – The Savannah Philharmonic is pleased to announce Jeanne Glover as the
Director of Development. In her new role, she will manage all fundraising efforts, strengthen
organizational relationships with donors and sponsors, and help ensure the future financial
stability of the organization.

A native of the Philadelphia area, Glover grew up surrounded by music. Her father was a
professional pianist and organist, two aunts were orchestra violinists, and weekend visits to her
grandparents’ home always included musical performances. She regularly attended
Philadelphia Orchestra concerts.

She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a
minor is Spanish. After college, Glover embarked on a 15-year career as an international
commodities trader with International Raw Materials in Philadelphia where she served as Vice
President. In 1990, Glover moved to Savannah to join ConAgra International Fertilizer Company
as Vice President for Latin America. Her career involved traveling extensively to Central
America, South America, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, Europe and North America to identify
customers and develop markets for bulk cargo shipments of commodity fertilizer imports and
to work with producers for bulk commodity fertilizer exports.

Glover stepped away from the industry in 1997 to focus on her growing family and become
increasingly involved in the Savannah community. She has been involved with Savannah
Country Day School, Historic Savannah Foundation, American Diabetes Association, Park Place
Outreach, Women of St. John’s, and the Garden Club of Savannah where she is on the
committee to plan the upcoming NOGS Tour of Hidden Gardens.

Beginning with the 2024-25 season, Glover became a regular host of musicians with the
Savannah Philharmonic and has continued hosting musicians during the 2025-26 season.
She looks forward in her new role to continuing these relationships while forging new
relationships and developing events to further the important mission of the Savannah
Philharmonic.
