Story Under the Stars

We invite the entire community to gather together in beautiful Forsyth Park for “Story Under The Stars” on Sunday, April 24th at 6:00pm to enjoy the power of story combined with original music performed by the Savannah Philharmonic Woodwind Quartet.
“Story Under the Stars” provides an opportunity for our community to unite, heal, and be inspired through the dynamic combination of the spoken word and musical expression – Two of the most powerful artistic elements so famously woven into the texture of Savannah.
Utilizing the healing power of story, individuals will share their stories of grief, resilience, survival, discovery, and hope from their lives during the pandemic, in short 3-5 minute TEDTalk-style presentations.
Each story will be accompanied by a specially commissioned original piece of music performed by the Savannah Philharmonic. Together, these compositions will become the soundtrack of our community’s resilience. This event is free and open to all, so come bring a blanket and enjoy!
The Venue
Forsyth Park Band Shell
Located at the beginning of the South Lawn in one of Savannah’s most loved parks, the Band Shell in historic Forsyth Park holds events both large and small throughout the year.
The Savannah Philharmonic hosts the largest outdoor cultural event in Savannah on this stage at our annual “Phil the Park” concert.
