The “On the Road Series” makes it’s second stop at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Richmond Hill where violinist Rubén Rengel will amaze audiences with his virtuosic interpretation of Mozart’s “Turkish” violin concerto.
The SavPhil will then perform Beethoven’s humorous Symphony No. 2.

Described as an excellent soloist of great virtuosity, Venezuelan violinist Rubén Rengel is quickly gaining recognition as a remarkably gifted artist.
Rubén was the winner of the Robert F. Smith Prize at the 2018 Sphinx Competition, the Cleveland Institute of Music Concerto Competition (2014), recipient of the Sallie Shepherd Perkins Prize (2019) and the Anna Y. Tringas Award (2013), and winner of the Juan Bautista Plaza National Violin Competition of Venezuela (2011).
In 1937, the automobile magnate Henry Ford, Sr. built a copy of the Ford chapel in Dearborn, MI here in Richmond Hill. After Mr. Ford’s death, the property was sold to the local paper company and the church was not used any longer for worship.
The building was renovated, and was named The Mission Chapel of St. Anne, Mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary and dedicated on June 1, 1955.
